Stewart Enterprises is much more than a death care company.
We are thousands of heartfelt, professional individuals working together as a great team to serve families with their death care needs. We are moms and dads, sons and daughters and grandparents. We are school and church volunteers, little league coaches and Scout leaders. We are community leaders, civic organizers and association members. We are college graduates, licensed professionals and full- and part-time workers — we are just like you.
Based on our purpose of caring for people, making a difference®, we have developed what we call our “CARING” cultural standards that we all believe in and demonstrate. They are:
C: We Communicate honestly and clearly. We maintain eye contact and listen without interrupting, seeking first to understand and then be understood.
A: We take pride in our Appearance, in our facility and grounds and in all that we do. We recognize that we make a lasting impression on the lives of others.
R: We Respect others and treat them as we would like to be treated. We understand that we may not always agree with others and will maintain respect for customers, guests and co-workers at all times.
I: We take Initiative to make every interaction with others meaningful. We take ownership and find positive ways to solve problems immediately.
N: We address others by Nameto demonstrate interest and sincerity and to build relationships.
G: We show Gratitude by saying thank you or by handwriting a note. We are privileged to serve customers, guests and co-workers and make a difference in their lives.
These standards represent care, communication, respect, commitment, attentiveness and appreciation.
We just happen to believe in doing the best we can to help people celebrate the lives of their lost loved ones and make sure they are memorialized as families wish. We do this every day through the many funeral homes and cemeteries we operate across the United States and in Puerto Rico. It’s who we are. |
